Russell Brown@MAX: Portrait Photography Meets Museum Masterpiece
RegisterStep inside a creative experience like no other. Russell Brown@MAX is a hands-on, immersive class that brings classic fine art into the modern design world using Adobe’s most powerful creative tools.
Working alongside some of the world’s top Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Lightroom experts, you’ll learn how to use your mobile phone to capture striking portrait photography inspired by legendary artists such as Frida Kahlo, Salvador Dalí, and Vincent van Gogh. You’ll explore professional techniques for lighting, posing, styling, and storytelling, and then transform those portraits into museum-worthy designs.
This year’s class project challenges each student to design a large-format museum banner announcing a gallery exhibition for their chosen artist at an iconic museum of their choice. Using classic Adobe tools alongside the latest Adobe Firefly AI features, you’ll move from concept to final production. The experience concludes with your banner being printed and displayed in the Russell Brown@MAX exhibit within the Creative Park.
Beyond the skills, this class is about connection. You’ll collaborate, learn, and create alongside designers from around the world, forming friendships and creative partnerships that last well beyond MAX.
To fully embrace the experience, students are encouraged to arrive on the first day dressed as their favorite artist or as a character from one of their favorite paintings, bringing the masters to life in an unforgettable way. This is more than a class; it is a celebration of art history, modern design, and creative community, and an Adobe learning experience unlike anything else on the planet.
